books actually

few weeks ago, me and juli went to china town to take pictures, and then we went to ann siang hill road, and went to this little book store called books actually. and i love it! it's like i just wanna stay there, hehe
it's a small independent book store, but the place is very cozy and got that nice books smell (if you know what i mean..) i just love that place so much, i take picture with the sign board (lebay)

just discovered his music, and it's just beautiful..
nick drake wrote deep lyrics played beautiful tunes with his guitar but he was not popular back then. he only recorded 3 albums because he suffered from depression and insomnia throughout his life and died at the age of 26 from an overdose of amitriptyline, a prescribed antidepressant. i kind of sad because he was a talented young man and he only made 3 albums during his life, but at the same time, i kinda happy for him

behold! our group sculpture for this week design studio.
our group (consist of allan and hidayat and me) hate 3D(like really really hate 3D) and yet we still manage to finish the assignment, yay! i did the small pieces and textures while the guys doing the big pieces. :D next assignment : typo sculpture that due tomorrow, aaargh!

Charlotte Gainsbourg + Beck =

Charlotte Gainsbourg. i know her only as an actress who played Stéphanie in Science of Sleep, but now i know that she has already released her 'debut' album 5:55 in 2006 (she once recorded an album back when she was 13) and now is working on her second album with Beck! I can't wait to hear her new album, hope it'll turn out great :D







This is a song from Charlotte's debut album called The songs that we sing. Jarvis Cocker, Air and The divine comedy also collaborated with her and Beck's father David Campbell composed the string arrangements. nice songs! see her my space here.

jarvis.tdr

yesterday i was doing a research about the designers republic, i was looking at their works and i found out that they're the one who made a logo design for pulp and jarvis cocker's solo album. after awhile, i lost my focus and research about jarvis instead of tdr :| haha btw tdr closed on january 2009 :( i hope they'll make a come back soon

bad weather = bad day

today me and juli had a plan to do photo shoot for our photography class, so we decided to meet at sommerset station. i was there but juli wasn't there yet, because.. well she overslept, hahaha! so i waited for her at the skate park and then i saw these 2 adorable kids! they're so cute!i usually not into kids, but these two are just too adorable :) their big brothers and sister were playing skate board and these two just play with each other, they speak France so i thought they're on holiday but when i ask them they said they were born in Singapore.

juli came and we went to this old hotel to do photo shoot, we got there,

but juli had to go to the bathroom, like ASAP! so after she finished whatever she was doing, i had lunch, planning to do some shoots after i had my lunch, but then.. it started pouring..hard.. we can't do photoshoot with that weather because the assignment has to do with sunlight. We went to orchard central, play guitar hero for awhile, went back home but it was still raining and i didnt bring umbrella so i'm wet.. i went home, and realized.. noone's home, i didn't bring the key, i can't get inside my apartment.
luckily my housemate went home (by taxi!) so she can open the door for me :p
